just so everyone knows we have a vent in ventrilo if anyone is interested.

cool the host name is what i was lost on, whats the "Evil" bit about when it posts in guild chat???? not used i guess?

Open Ventrilo and follow steps:

1. On the username field, click the arrow on the far right.
   
2. Click "New" and type in your username, that will show up when you connect.
   
3. The phonetics field is for your name to be said out loud by the server, so that other people can hear who has connected. (Not sure if this still works for the new version).
   
4. Click ok.
   
5. For the server, click the arrow on the far right like above.
   
6. Click "New" and type in the server name, for example; Section Nine.
   
7. For the "Hostname / IP", put in the server address you are connecting to, for example; "ventrilo2.ecgnetwork.com" (without the speech marks).
   
8. Port number: 4012
   
9. Password: Thats an easy one, insert only if the server requires a password to join.
   
10. Default channel can be left blank.
    
11. Click ok.
    
12. Done! All the information you need to connect to a server.
